Adult Day Center

Adult day health services meet the physical, social and emotional needs of older adults and those adults with disabilities. DHS contracts with adult day health centers across the state to support the health, nutritional, social and daily living needs of adults in a professionally staffed group setting. Services provided at adult day centers include health monitoring and medication administration; socialization, leisure, recreational and educational activities; assistance with personal care as well as nutritious lunches and snacks.

Think Ability's Adult Day Center is a structured daytime program that provides a variety of activities for our participants, including those needing special attention. We provide a safe, secure environment and have a ratio of 1 staff person to 8 participants. Our activities are planned month by month and may include mild physical exercise, games to stimulate the mind, arts and crafts, music, and pet therapy to name a few.

Participants must be 18 years of age and older and may attend a minimum of 1 day per week, but most attend from 3-5 days per week. The Adult Day Center prohibits the enrollment of a person whose needs exceed the capability of the center's program, and person excluded by the Adult Day Care Center Act.
