The Community Garden
The goal of the Think Ability Community Garden is two-fold: first, to provide an opportunity to the individuals we serve that will encourage the development of their own interests, education, and skills, in gardening and nutrition. Equally important is to promote the different types of gardening methods, plant varieties, composting techniques, and more, to our neighbors and friends in the community who share our interest in gardening. Opportunities available at the Community Garden include Seasonal Serenity Porch Beautification Service, Community Garden bed rental, annual Christmas poinsettia fundraiser, October pumpkin patch, and a Christmas Tree farm in December. Products available at the Community Garden include flowers and hanging baskets during spring, summer, and fall. The Community Garden also hosts occasional volunteer events throughout the year, and the garden area is available to rent for private events. |
